Women in the porn industry are generally not well-adjusted, happy
individuals, although they do a pretty good job of hiding it well with drugs and alcohol. Many admit they came from abusive homes, compiled with rape, molestation and verbal abuse. Due to this trauma, many of them suffer from depression as well as bipolar disorder. I know survivors of these symptoms myself. But they still had to move forward and survive. In the end, many believed that working in the porn industry would fulfill those needs. They believed the lie that they could receive that attention, and depraved ‘consumers’ believed the lie that they could give it to them as well.
